VLV 14 Fancy Pants Dress

This was my "fancy pants" dress for Sat. night at Viva.

Fabric: Red ticket "dress" fabric (stiff satin) (7 yards at $3 a yard!)
Pattern: Butterick 4918 (below)and McCall's 3830 (style B)
Year: c. 1952
Notions: vintage broach and 14" zipper
Time to complete: 8 hours
First worn: April 2011 (VLV!)
Wear again? I hope so! It is kinda fancy. I want to make another dress like this but in baby pink!
